Having a Deception Pass Elopement...
There are no shortage of locations to get married at in Washington State, some more popular than others. While Deception Pass is definitely one of the most visited state parks in Washington, it doesn't make it any less of a great choice to get married in! This elopement between Anya + Jeff was absolutely beautiful. We got in touch just a few days prior to their elopement and it was definitely a sweet and memorable day.
Best time of year to elope at Deception Pass
Honestly, any time of year is great to get married at Deception Pass. Spring and summertime will typically have more sunny and dry days with more predictable weather, but it comes with much larger crowds.
Fall and winter will be much rainier and give you a more moodier vibe, but there will also be a chance of having a much more private ceremony.
Things to do near deception pass
The wonderful thing about this state park is that it's close to SeaTac airport (if you're flying in) and very accessible. You'll be near the North Cascades and Mount Rainier, as well as being able to get to Whidbey Island and the rest of the San Juan Islands for some exploring and tidepooling.
Kayaking and paddle boarding is an amazing way to pass the time here, as well as taking whale watching tours!
